Following the success of Nathan Wyburn’s exhibition of famous faces and images created using foodstuff and other household items, this month’s ‘promenart’ poster display at the Grand Pavilion will feature some lesser known – but even more important – individuals. They are Bridgend’s home-grown, but often unsung superheroes!Visit each of the eight interactive displays along the front of the venue, and use your smartphone’s QR scanner (iPhone camera or downloaded scanner app) to see and hear the story behind each of the images. Headphones are recommended to clearly hear the audio. This exhibition is based on the work of local singer songwriter John Nicholas and Stronger Together Bridgend, an Awen Cultural Trust and Bridgend County Borough Council initiative designed to bring people and communities together to share their individual and collective life experiences. For more information, or to share your story with us, please visit: www.strongertogetherbridgend.co.ukYn dilyn llwyddiant arddangosfa Nathan Wyburn o wynebau enwogion a lluniau eiconig wedi’u creu gan ddefnyddio deunyddiau anghonfensiynol, bydd arddangosfa’r mis hwn ar Bafiliwn y Grand yn dangos unigolion llai adnabyddus ond yr un mor bwysig. Our coastline is a true gift to us and is a place to escape the worries of this world and refuel our souls. The sea and land both give and take from each other and we get to enjoy the spectacle of this relationship at all times and moods of the year. Brave ones like Martin Blackwell swim in its cold waters in the middle of winter to invigorate body and mind , runners like Phillippa Coulson and Alison Meredith-Jones run along its soft sand keeping up spirits and friendships and in today's show we hear from David Kilner and Cass Crocker about how they are helping us to appreciate all this treasure that needs preserving for future generations to come.In fact, young people between 18 - 30 years old can get £500 bursaries to help them get into conservation in Wales! Easy-to-apply-for funding information here:dynamicdunescapes.co.uk/get-involved/conservationists/Older and younger people can share their stories and pictures of the coastline here:dynamicdunescapes.co.uk/share-your-stories-images/To contact Cassie or David please e-mail them at Cassie.crocker@plantlife.org.ukDavid.kilner@plantlife.org.uk Or write to Cassie as follows: PLANTLIFE CYMRU Brewery House 36 Milford Street Salisbury Wiltshire SP1 2AP UK For more information on all of the partners projects featured please visit any of the following:www.facebook.com/GreenLinksBridgendwww.facebook.com/duneswaleswww.facebook.com/plantlifecymru_______________________________________Also, why not look back at some of the stories referenced in this episode?
